"Home is the nicest word there is."
A child reaching for your hand. A quiet look between two people who have built a life together. Laughter that bubbles up when no one is trying to be perfect. That's the heart behind my work.
When you spend time with me, sessions are relaxed and unhurried. There's no pressure to perform or pose perfectly. Instead, we make a space for real moments to unfold naturally. The kind that feel familiar when you look back at them years from now.
More than anything, I care about the people in front of my camera. Your story matters. Your family matters. And the moments you're living right now deserve to be remembered just as they are.
A small-town southwest Missouri Photographer who grew up on my family's dairy farm in the close-knit town of Miller. Life on the farm shaped so much of who I am today. Early mornings, hard work, neighbors who felt like family, and a deep appreciation for the simple things that make life meaningful.
For the last seven years, my family and I lived out west in Colorado. It was a beautiful season of life, but deep down, I always felt the quiet pull back home. Back to the Ozark hills, the front porch conversations, and the familiar rhythm of small-town life. When the time came to return, it felt less like a move and more like stepping back into a story that had always been waiting for us.
Life for me has always been rooted in the simple things.
Slow mornings with my family, the smell of fresh-cut hay in the summer, front porch conversations that last longer than planned, and the quiet beauty of the Ozark hills at sunset.
I still carry so much of the rhythm of farm life with me. Early mornings, hard work, and the kind of community where neighbors look out for one another.
Those simple, everyday pieces of life are the ones that matter most to me, and they are often the moments I'm drawn to capture for others. Because years from now, it's rarely the big, polished moments we miss the most. It's the ordinary ones that quietly meant everything, and maybe they weren't so ordinary after all.
Working with me is relaxed and easy, just like spending time with an old friend. There's no pressure to pose or perform. I'll gently guide you when needed, but most of the time I'll step back and let real life unfold. The result is a collection of moments that feel natural, honest, and just like home.
Life isn't made up of perfect poses or picture-perfect moments. It's the in-between pieces that matter most—the laughter, the closeness, the little glances that say everything without a word. Photographs have a quiet way of holding onto time, preserving the moments that often pass by too quickly. When we spend time together, you can relax and be yourselves, because the most meaningful stories are the ones already unfolding right in front of us.
I live for slow days with family, laughter around the table, and the quiet beauty of life in the Ozarks. My faith is the foundation of everything I do. reminding me to live with gratitude and to cherish the everyday moments that God so graciously gives us.
