What better way to spend your extra day of the year than eloping? I think this was the perfect day for something special!

Phaedra and Thomas originally had their date set for their anniversary in March, but decided, why not move it up to Leap Day? You know how it goes this day only happens every four years, well this year Leap Day was so great because I was out and about doing what I love; capturing those in love!

I met Phaedra and Thomas the Saturday before at Mojo’s and discussed their vision for their elopement day. Afterward we scouted out the locations they were interested in and we had our plan!

For this epic Leap Day Elopement, we began at Box Canon, where we hiked down into the falls and enjoyed the majestic earthy gorge. Afterward we hiked up to Cascade Falls, where the lovely clearing offered sunshine and warmth. Then we made a stop over at the Wright Opera house to warm up and take advantage of some beautiful, historic architecture. Lastly, we hiked to a gorgeous spot along the Perimeter Trail with the perfect view of Mt. Abrams, where this couple toasted with champagne and signed their marriage license! WHAT A DAY!

These two show their love for one another constantly. I was in awe of their laid-back style and love for the outdoors. I was also super impressed with their many shoe changes, and hardiness for the cold! What troopers!
